From an early age, Josslyn Meyers knew she was an artist-her passion igniting at the age of five. Raised on the prairies, she pursued her Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Saskatoon, followed by a Bachelor of Education with honors.  An award winning artist and dedicated educator, Josslyn is deeply committed to nurturing creativity in others, helping students of all ages discover their own artistic potential.

Josslyn’s art—encompassing paintings, drawings, and prints—celebrates the beauty of the natural world while exploring her deep, personal connection to it. Her landscapes, figures, and portraits provide a sincere and authentic response to the world she observes. Each piece is born from the memory of a specific place, transformed through scale or medium in her studio. Her masterful use of color, line, and shape creates a sense of otherworldly space, inviting viewers to experience her perceptions on a deeper, almost mystical level.

For Josslyn, art is more than self-expression—it is a call to reconnect with the landscapes that sustain us. By capturing the essence of these places—whether it’s the rush of a stream, the flight of birds, or the vitality of wildlife in a thriving ecosystem—she hopes to inspire a sense of reverence for the natural world and a commitment to its conservation. Each painting serves as both a celebration of nature’s beauty and a gentle reminder, urging us to care for and protect the earth for generations to come.
